Solution

Access Gateway (AG)
Fabric OS mode for switches that reduces SAN (storage area network)
deployment complexity by leveraging NPIV (N_Port ID Virtualization).

Per Brocade Access Gateway (AG) Administrator's Guide, the Administrator will be prompted to reboot the Switch whenever enabling or disabling AG and when disabling AG the switchDisable command must be run to disable the switch before the ag --modedisable command is issued.

NPIV N_Port ID Virtualization. Allows a single FC_Port to appear as multiple,
distinct ports providing separate port identification and security zoning with
the fabric for each operating system image as if each one had its own
physical port.

Run configUpload - Uploads system configuration data to a file. Recommended if there is a existing switch configuration

Enable AG mode
ag --modeenable

To disable
 ag --modeshow --modedisable

To show mode Example
 ag --modeshow
Access Gateway mode is NOT enabled

See Brocade Access Gateway (AG) Administrators Guide

The Administrator will be prompted to reboot the switch whenever enabling or disabling AG

The switchDisable command must be run to disable the switch before ag --modedisable command is issued
