Symptoms

Troubleshooting steps on T6300 when changes to pendingipgateway value fails to commit

Cannot reset or change pendingipgateway value on T6300 SP when executing the set commitpending=true Commmand

This document will provide troubleshooting steps for when the following scenario is encountered:

- User is not able to gain access to the blade through the dongle
- The SP does not respond when the blade is inserted
- The blade is not accessible through the BUI as the T6300 does not support BUI accessibility
- The blade is accessible through the CMM.
- The blade will not take (save) any of the network settings using the setpending commands.

Cause

- The Blade is not powered on

-Possible Faulty Dongle Cable

-Dongle cable is not connected to the T6300 Blade

- FW (firmware) needs to be upgrade and or Reflashed

- faulty/failed Battery on the SP, faulty MB, and or Faulty SP. *see REFERENCES below*

Solution

Steps to follow:

1.Need to access/connect a DONGLE CABLE to The T6300 Blade and the Blade must be POWERED ON

2. reflash t6300 with latest fw - *do not save config* <--- when it asks to preserve answer NO (when doing the FW )

3. connect directly to t6300 via serial dongle,  *login as admin* and reconfigure network settings using:

setupsc
shownetwork
*How  To Use the setupsc Command:*
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19076-01/t1k.srvr/819-7991-10/command_shell.html#50524207_25999

4. connect to CMM

show /CH/BL#/SP/network

If network settings still not correct, reset the CMM in order to recheck. If issue persists, please open a technical service request for further analysis by a SPARC Hardware Technical Service Engineer.
