Symptoms
The status LED stays flashing for a long time.
Cause
If you get a new drive and it stays in a mode where the status LED stays flashing for a long time this is normal. The drive has temperature sensors and will not complete the IPL process until the drive reaches a certain temperature. The drive may take 6 minutes or more for this to occur.
Solution
Give the drive up to 10 minutes to complete the IPL process.
