Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Getting error "Could not connect" when enabling the ASR feature on the OKM server.
Getting error " "ASR Registration failed" when enabling the ASR feature on the other OKM server (at another site)
snoop trace shows connection being blocked by the firewall when going to 129.157.65.13
Changes
Enabling the ASR ( Auto Service Request ) feature in OKM 2.4 or OKM 2.5
Cause
The firewall is blocking connection to the ASR server 129.157.65.13
These are the ASR/SDP servers that the ASR client needs to connect to:
------
CAM 6.8 and Amber Road (Sun Storage 7xxx) Version
https://inv-cs.oracle.com (443) 129.157.65.14
https://asr-services.oracle.com (443) 129.157.65.13
Oracles Auto Service Request, Secure File Transport, CAM 6.9, Solaris 11, and VOP
https://transport.oracle.com (443) 141.146.1.169
Solution
When enabling the ASR feature in OKM, enter the correct values for:
My Oracle Support User Name
My Oracle Support Password
My Oracle Host Proxy Host
My Oracle Support Proxy port
The "Proxy Host" and "Proxy Port" are optional but if the browser needs to go through a proxy server to get to the internet.
these values should be specified.
If the Enable process returns "Could not Connect" or "ASR Registration Failed" errors, verify if there is a firewall and if
the firewall is disallowing connections to these ASR sites:
CAM 6.8 and Amber Road (Sun Storage 7xxx) Version
https://inv-cs.oracle.com (443) 129.157.65.14
https://asr-services.oracle.com (443) 129.157.65.13
Oracles Auto Service Request, Secure File Transport, CAM 6.9, Solaris 11, and VOP
https://transport.oracle.com (443) 141.146.1.169
Note: An incorrect MOS username/password would return an "Enable ASR failed" message.
