SymptomsILOM becomes unresponsive and eventually resets due to an Out Of Memory event 984 Sun Jun 23 10:59:32 2013 System Log critical CauseHigh resource utilisation within ILOM, often experienced during SysFW upgrade but can also occur during normal operation. One known cause is sub-optimal resource management within the spsh process which leads to increased SP memory usage over time. SolutionInstall SysFW 8.3.0.b since this has resolved one issue seen on SysFW 8.2.2.c. For previous SysFW releases a workaround is to perform a proactive SP reset via the ILOM command line prior to commencing a FW upgrade; -> reset /SP Note: Should this occur during SYsFW upgrade the SP will revert to the previous image following reboot - this will not result in loss of the SP.
