Unable to allocate additional space to shares in spite of the fact that status storage show reported over 40% of space is still available.

Cause

Space is available in the pool but that space has been allocated to filesystems via reservations on individual projects and filesystems.

space_available

Solution

Freed up space by reducing the amount of space reserved for other shares.

Actual space available for new allocations is best seen in the BUI  -  Select Shares -> Projects -> All Projects.   The percent of space to the right of Usage directly under Projects includes space reserved.
