Symptoms

Following the successful update of Exadata Compute Nodes running Solaris x86_64 to 11.2.3.2.1 from 11.2.3.1.0, we see a Blank Section in the #imageinfo command as follows.

hostname: Kernel version: 5.11 11.0 i386
hostname: Image version: 11.2.3.2.1.130103
hostname: Image activated: <<<<-------------------------------------
hostname: Image status: <<<<-------------------------------------

Changes

upgrade of 11.2.3.1.0 to 11.2.3.2.1 (or to 11.2.3.2.0) just completed

Cause

The blank “Image activated:” and “Image status:” is known Bug 16811544, and may be ignored.

Solution

Please use:

# pkg list entire

and check that the output meets or exceeds what is currently posted in NOTE 888828.1, “Database Machine and Exadata Storage Server 11g Release 2 (11.2) Supported Versions
