Created from <SR 3-7415583914> Applies to:Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System - Version All Versions and laterPillar Axiom 300 Storage System - Version All Versions and later Pillar Axiom 500 Storage System - Version All Versions and later Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsYou are trying to log into the GUI and after a number of unsuccessful attempts, the GUI login screen is showing: For the Axiom software version 4.x browser-based GUI -- Administrator account is disabled. For the Axiom software version 5.x java-based GUI -- a window pops up with text "Authentication failed. Please contact your Administrator to verify account credentials." To discuss this information further with Oracle experts and industry peers, we encourage you to review, join or start a discussion in the My Oracle Support Community - Disk Storage Pillar Axiom System
CauseThe maximum number of incorrect password entries has been reached, and your account is now disabled. For the Axiom software version 4.x GUI, your account will be disabled on the 9th unsuccessful password entry. For the Axiom software version 5.x GUI, your account will be disabled on the 5th unsuccessful password entry. SolutionTo re-enable the account, log into the GUI using an administrator account, or use the default administrator account, with user ID "administrator" and password "pillar" (without the quotes). If you receive the error "Invalid login name or password. Try again." when logging in to the default administrator account with these credentials, then the default password has been changed. In this case you will need to open a Service Request to have a TSC Engineer recover the administrator password.
TSC Engineer - refer to Pillar Axiom: Recovering the administrator or pillar password on an Axiom [ID 1462744.1] for the procedure. For Axiom software version 4.x, which uses a browser-based GUI: Click on the System button at the top, then click on Administrator Accounts on the left-hand side.
For Axiom software version 5.x, which uses a java-based GUI: Click on the Configure tab then click on Administrator Accounts on the left-hand side. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
