Created from <SR 3-7235623300> Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL8500 Modular Library System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Information in this document applies to any platform. Symptoms1321 : "Failure from power supply - Address: x,x,x,x,x
StorageTek Library Console (SLC) may show one of the Power Supplies (PSU) In Warning (Yellow) or Offline (Red) status CauseOne of the PDUs (Power Distribution Unit) may have problems to provide power a PSU. Or The PSU may be defective. Or There is a problem with the outside power source.
Solution1. First check the AC PDU. It may have tripped. * 2. Then check the outside AC power source for the data center. Verify if there is a problem by checking is the LED on the main PDUs (Should be Lit). * 3. Determine if the PSU breaker is tripped. (WE DON'T SUGGEST TO RESETTING THE TRIPPED BREAKER, DUE TO IT MAY CAUSE MORE HW PROBLEMS) *
* If the troubleshooting fails, check for any existing Automatic Service Request (ASR). If one was created, an Oracle Engineer will contact you within SLA. * If no ASR is present, please proceed and create a new Service Request reporting the issue and indicating the troubleshooting performed and indicating that the breaker is tripped.
