Solution

Run the 'supportsave -R' cmd.

It will get rid of all core files and FFDC files.

Additionally you can run cleanup (as root) to get rid of stale files.

SYNOPSIS: cleanup [-n] [-p | -s]

Notes: This utility will check for any obsoleted files that are in the file system that don't belong to any package, and will then remove them. These files may be resulted from firmwareCommit command. The list of directories it checks is in /etc/cleanup.conf.

-n Do not physically remove the obsoleted files but  just report them.

-p Doing cleanup on primary partition only.

-s Doing cleanup on secondary partition only.

By default, this utility will remove obsoleted files on both partitions.
