Robot Retry and Obstructed Errors 5010/5611 after Handbot Replacement.

RC5010, RC5611, Result code 5010, 5611

- Handbot unable to find targets.

1319: Robot operation failed Code: 502 - Robot can not find target;

Cause

After handbot replacement, customer reports new error messages from the HSC/ACSLS perspective:

From library log snapshot perspective, is possible to see the following messages:

Handbots are finding all kinds of tapes we don't know about.

Looking at what happen it appears the old robot had a bad scanner and was not aware of these tapes. Replacing the robot fixed the scanner issue and is now finding the tapes.

Solution

Run a physical audit through SL Console, only on the affected rails and then run an audit via HSC or ACSLS.

This will bring all cartridges back.
