SymptomsUnable to login to FTP, SFTP, FTPS, WebDAV and the BUI/CLI administrative interfaces using Active Directory credentials. CauseThese services currently expect a UNIX based logon, i.e. something that natively uses a uid/gid, such as LDAP, NIS or a local account. An enhancement request has been created for the ability to use Active Directory logins, which is being tracked with Bug:15811358. SolutionCurrently, you must use unix accounts that natively have a uid/gid, as noted above. Identity mapping can be used to associate the uid/gid with Active Directory accounts so that the uid can be used to access files owned by the Active Directory users.
