We often receive calls stating the FSE cannot login to a library with SLConsole. Most frequently it is during an install.

Symptoms

Unable to Login to Library with SLConsole.

Cause

 Firmware issue.

Solution

You must use a minimum of FRS-5.80 for SL8500 8.0x and higher code and FRS-6.00 for SL3000 4.0x and higher code.  FRS-6.00 can be used for both. (See release notes for the library codes).

  • All new op panels come with incompatible code versions and must be upgraded before they can login to the library. You will get a login failure with no indication that the version compatibility is the issue.
  • As a additional note, remember that all op panel used to make the ethernet port closest to the center of the op panel the active port.  The new dark gray "Alpha" op panels now make the port closest to the outside edge of the panel the active port.
