Symptoms

All four drives are shown as inoperative on SL500.

The EventLog will show targeting errors on the robot like Result Code:5501 in all the drives. However, the robot is fine. RC5501, 5501

Changes

This issue will unlikely take place in a working library. It will happen in a new install.

The customer installed the SL500 themselves following the instructions. However the drive bezels were not delivered by mistake.

Cause

The drives have no bezels.

We have determined that there are no drive bezels in the SL500 nor did they ship with the library.

Solution

Install bezels on the drives or replace broken bezels.
