SL3000 is newly installed. Attempts to connect to it using SLC get back message "Invalid response received from library for the request". This occurs from the Local Operator Panel and a remote connection.

Symptoms

Message "invalid response received from library for the request"

"Error: No Session, session invalid, session not supplied. Pli Authentication Required"

issued when logging at LOP and in remote SLC session.

CLI connections to the library are ok.

Changes

New Installation of library.

Cause

The library was installed with FRS_4.00 firmware.

The Local operator panel was at 5.70

The remote SLC was at 5.60

This level of firmware requires a minimum level of SLC of FRS_6.00

Solution

Upgrade SL Console firmware to the required level (FRS_6.00+) or higher as it becomes available.
