Symptoms

Communication to library server failed.

Customer is not able to communicate with the library. No mounts, library appears offline to the Server Console.
Library Hangs, Unable to Login Via SLC ( SL Console)

Cause

Customer is not able to communicate with the library. No mounts, library appears offline to the Server Console.
 
Library Hangs, Unable to Login Via SLC ( SL Console)
 

Solution

There's no way to reset the HBK. In this situation, the HBC is running out of the config data mirror it keeps in its flash. The library will function fine for up to 30 days without the HBK. This should be enough time to procure a replacement.  The only risk is, HBC failure. If HBC fails and has to be replaced, the library will lose config information.

The HBK card must be replaced within the grace period.
