Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1539657.1 : SL150 - Error : "Magazines Not Latched" 9081, Library Will Not Initialize
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-6814624581> Applies to:StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library - Version All Versions and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. Note: As each component is replaced, such as Robot, Op Panel, KLM. Serial number can be lost without a successful library initialization between part replacement. Reason is the flash stick housing library serial number are in these 3 locations and 2 of 3 flash sticks must match, otherwise library will not initialize without taking drastic steps of remotely re-programming the flash stick using Eng userid (only L2 and engineering) using webex session. *** Workaround ***If for any reason the replacement part did not fix the problem and did not initialize library, put the original part back in and capture a log bundle. Engage L2 support before replacing another part. SymptomsFinal code 9081: Result code 9081, RC9081, FSC9081 Library will not initialize. 2013-02-25T16:35:39.698, 0.0.0.0.0, 000, sensor-manager, , error, 0000, 0000, "getCheckProductIDSN: Base KLM no SN no match in KLC and KLO" The actual error can be misleading as the problem is related to a serial number issue. ChangesNew install. Multiple parts replaced on SL150. CauseProblem was the original issue being a defective robot module. Once that was resolved, other parts were swapped causing the problem of loosing the serial number on the SL150. Base module, KLM, and robotics module have serial number information embedded. Due to multiple parts being replaced at once. Valid serial number information was lost. This prevented the SL150 from intializing and displaying error code 9081. SolutionThis issue was resolved by engineering logging into the SL150 using "Manufacturing" login access and rebuilding the SL150 serial number information. The issue seems to be a mismatch between serial numbers on the KLC (robot) and the KLO (OP panel). The unit does not have a serial number in the KLM, and the KLC and KLO SNs References<NOTE:1532502.1> - SL150 - Mail Slot is Not Closing Properly<NOTE:1509547.1> - SL150 - Firmware Upgrades From Versions Below 1.50 Cannot be Performed Remotely <NOTE:1471283.1> - SL150 - How To Remove/Replace a Cartridge Magazine CRU In the StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library:ATR:1471283.1:0 Attachments This solution has no attachment |
