SymptomsA221 SNO Errors FSCA221 CauseIf you set DHCP to on and set SNMP on but do not put in a SNMP Manager in the drive the drive could SNO with FSC A221. SolutionVerify The Configuration To check your configuration do the following: 1) Connect to the drive using VOP. 2) Select Retrieve>Drive Data 3) Select the Network tab and verify if DHCP is turned on. If it is off there is no need to go further with this process. 4) If DHCP is enabled, select the Idsnmp tab. 5) Verify if SNMP is enabled. If it is then verify that a SNMP manager is defined in the first IP location.
Change the configuration If DHCP is enabled and SNMP is enabled and you have no SNMP manager defined set up an SNMP manager: 1) Ask the customer to take the drive offline from the host. 2) Once the drive if offline from the host then use VOP to take the drive offline. (drive operations> drive offline) 3) Select the Configuration menu item and click on the Idsmnp tab. 4) Enter the IP address of the SNMP manager in the first position. 5) Save the configuration.
