Changes

Drive hardware replacement.

Cause

Incorrect drive mode selection - FICON/FC

Solution

T10K drives support both FICON & FC modes to work with  mainframe & open systems respectively.

Upon replacement, drive mode was selected as FICON and this prevented Solaris from building device file entries for the replacement drive.

Problem was cleared once FE logged into drive  via VOP and selected FC mode.
