Solution

Please get the FSC logs using the following knowledge: L180/L700/L1400 - How to Gather FSC Logs and Reports From Lib Admin Web GUI Document 1431368.1

After getting the logs please create a service request and attach them to it.

If Removal and replacement is needed please follow this steps.

From L700 Service Manual

Removal

  1. Cut the tie wrap that holds the theta motor wire bundles to the library roof.
  2. Disconnect the P/J663 and P/J664 connectors from the PRY card
  3. Rotate the Z column assembly clockwise as far as possible
  4. Pull down on the right side of the theta belt to remove it from the theta pulley
  5. Remove the cartridge guide nearest the theta motor assembly (Panel0 column4) by using a flat head screw driver to release the tab above the guide.
  6. Remove the array
  7. Remove the rear theta motor assembly screw
  8. Grasp the theta motor assembly and remove the two forward theta motor assembly screws
  9. Remove the theta motor assembly
  10. Place the theta motor assembly upside down on a work surface. note the allignment of the theta encoder relative to the base
  11. Make an arrow on the base with a marker or tape. This will allow you to properly install the assembly during replacement.
  12. Rest the theta encoder on a cushioned surface and using a torxT15 driver remove the four screws that attach the theta motor to the bracket
  13. Remove the theta motor.

Replacement

  1. Note the alignment of the encoder to the arrow mark on the base and, using a torx T14 driver, attach the theta motor to the bracket.
  2. Using a Torx T15 driver, attach the three screws from the theta motor bracket to the roof.
  3. Attach the array and bracket nearest the theta motor assembly.(panel0 column4)
  4. Replace the theta belt on the theta pulley. Rotate the pulley to aid replacement
  5. Connect the P/J663 and P/J664 connectors to the PRY card
  6. Use a tie wrap to attach the PRY card cables to the ceiling
  7. Restore the system to operation
