Symptoms

Host Socket Connection Dropped

RC=3902

Result code 3902

Changes

 No changes on library side, but unknown at customer network.

Cause

Customer network has been compromised or ethernet switch failed to provide connectivity. 

(Can occur on any ethernet network)

As reported by log snapshot (HBC log)

Solution

Stats Network Command Useful - The easiest way to display the communication statistics is to issue the "stats network" command at the CLI.

Look for errors, frames, collisons and drops.

Ask customer to check their network switch - "supportshow" file for collisions and drops.  FE or customer should trouble shoot ethernet cabling from library interface to patch panel to the switch.
