Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Non Partitioned SL3000 running 3.0 code with HLI-ACSLS interface.
Additional CEM is installed to existing Base and 3 * CEMs.
Hardware Activation Keys were installed and  Library is power cycled.

New slots count is detected but "Active cell" count can not be changed from SLC (Streamline Library Console).

ACSLS can not see the tapes/slots that were detected before upgrade.

Changes

CEM upgrade.

Cause

Code Issue.

Solution

Workaround :

Change "Inteface Type" from HLI to FC/SCSI and apply. Notice the Active Cell count is getting changed.
Then change the Interface back to HLI and apply.
