In some case, after installed OHMP 2.2.3.x, below event may output during system booting.

Nov 12 14:18:31 hostname hwmgmtd[651]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] Event 44: Component: /SYS/DBP/HDD2, Disk reported unexpected SCSI SENSE data to controller which may indicate a compatibility issue between the controller firmware version and disk model, id=/SYS/DBP/HDD2.

Changes

Cause

The disk drives had been spun down in case there's no IO on them. HMP send
some SCSI commands for disk inventory report, which will trigger some errors,
and spun up the disk drives.

please check below item if no error reported.

- Operating system is not reporting any disk errors.
- RAID HBA shows all physical disks healthy. Zero error counters and SMART data OK.
- RAID HBA shows all the Logical Volumes in Optimal health.

If no warning or error level event logged and just the messages are 'notice' level only. We can safe ignore these messages.

Solution

Upgrade HMP to 2.3.0 or higher releases. If messages still output during system booting, open a Hardware Service Request to Support.
