In this Document
Created from <SR 3-6536537411> Applies to:SPARC T4-1B - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Netra SPARC T4-1B - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Netra SPARC T4-1 Server - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] SPARC T4-1 - Version All Versions and later SPARC T4-4 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsFollowing a SysFW upgrade various ILOM variables are reset to defaults, such as /HOST/bootmode config, and OBP env settings (boot device, auto-boot, etc). /HOST/bootmode This is seen on upgrades between 8.2.0.a and 8.2.2.b, from 8.2.2.b onwards this issue is fixed. CauseUpdates to the scvar database within ILOM would cause the entire DB to be reinitialised, resulting in all values reverting to default. Bug 15773298 "Preserve scvar values across scvars db version changes" SolutionTake a backup of the ILOM config before starting the SysFW upgrade;
And reload from backup once the SysFW update is complete; -> set /SP/config load_uri=scp://root@1.2.3.4/var/tmp/config This can also be completed via the ILOM web interface. Note: This issue is fixed in SysFW 8.2.2.b onwards. References<BUG:15971695> - /HOST/BOOTMODE REVERTS TO DEFAULTS FOLLOWING FW UPGRADEAttachments This solution has no attachment |
