Changes

The server was rebooted or may have lost power

Cause

KMS runs a kmspost service that for any minor problem may fail on power up self test.

Solution

 1) review the /var/adm/messages

    Check for errors like this:
       daemon.warning] svc:/application/kmspost:default: Method "/lib/svc/method/svc-kmspost" failed with exit status 95.

This is an indication that kmspost failed self test,

KMS services may fail to start.

2) Disable kmspost by running this command:

    # svcadm disable kmspost

3) Try and re-start the KMA or the database or services.
