Created from <SR 3-6759352378> Applies to:Pillar Axiom 500 Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsThe SNMP service sends information only to the active Pilot IP address. This is not suitable if an Active Pilot failover occurs to the Standby Pilot because of an issue with the Active Pilot. Therefore the storage administrator will not receive any SNMP trap alerts from the Axiom. CauseThe axiom software release notes for 5.2 and 5.3 state that this is a known issue.
5.3 release notes pdf link : https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29307_01/E27587-01/E27587-01.pdf SolutionThe storage administrator needs to add all 3 Pilot IP addresses (Pilot1, Pilot2, and the Shared IP) to any 3rd party firewall software because the Shared IP is not returned to SNMP requests. Ensure the snmp server has it's IP address configured on the Axiom GUI. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
