In this Document
Created from <SR 3-5871531991> Applies to:Sun StorageTek Virtual Tape Control Software (VTCS) - Version 7.0 and laterSun StorageTek VSM System - Version 4 and later Sun StorageTek Enterprise Library Software (ELS) - Version 7.0 to 7.2 [Release 7.0] IBM z/OS on System z SymptomsCanceling a job may leave a VTV mounted if FASTRECL=YES is specified. VTV was left mounted after job was canceled. MVS Unload command had to be issued to unmount the virtual volume. CauseA job issued a mount for a migrated, non-resident VTV. This caused VTCS to issue a mount of the MVC containing the migrated copy of the VTV. The job was canceled while the MVC was being mounted. The VTCS configuration specified FASTRECL=YES. In this environment, the mount of the VTV is an integral part of the recall ECAM command. Hence, the recall of the VTV caused it to be mounted. The VTV was left mounted because the job had been canceled before the recall-with-mount was issued. SolutionPlease install the following PTF:
