The only way to get the SP to boot properly is to cold boot (unplug the power cords and then plug them back in) it. ILOM Pre-boot Menu ------------------ Type "h" and [Enter] for a list of commands, or "?" [Enter] for command-line key bindings. Type "h cmd" for summary of 'cmd' command.
Warning: SP will warm-reset after 300 seconds of idle time. Set 'bootretry' to -1 to disable the time-out.
Preboot>
ChangesThe issue occurred after a system board was replaced. CauseThe locate button is either stuck or broken. Details: A system board was replaced for an unrelated issue and the rear locate button was 'stuck' down because of chassis interference after the system board was poorly installed.
SolutionThe motherboard (rear locate button) is particularly vulnerable to this - one has to take care when installing a new motherboard to make sure the locate button is aligned with the exit hole and also can be pressed freely.
