In this Document
Created from <SR 3-6656100591> Applies to:Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud X2-2 Hardware - Version All Versions and laterOracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 1.0.0.0.0 and later Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsExalogic storage node hostnames displayed on the BUI are different than the ones displayed when accessing the node through SSH or ILOM. CauseHostname is misconfigured on ZFS Storage Appliance. SolutionTo solve this problem, it is necessary to set the system name and location accordingly on the Storage Appliance nodes BUI. 1. Login on the ZFS Storage Appliance BUI
As can be seen on the Online Help from the Storage Appliance BUI, the System Name property is a single canonical identifying name for the appliance that is shown in the user interface. This name is separate from any DNS names that are used to connect to the system (which would be configured on remote DNS servers). This name can be changed at any time.
In the same way, the System Location property is a text string to describe the where the appliance is physically located. If SNMP is enabled, this will be exported as the syslocation string in MIB-II.
