Applies to:

SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Old files containing statistics for Reliable Datagram Sockets (RDS) and Infiniband (IB) generated by OS Watcher are not automatically removed on Solaris Compute Nodes.

These files are contained in the following directory:  /opt/oracle.oswatcher/osw/archive

OS Watcher files by default should be purged after 7 days on Exadata Systems to prevent disk space issues.

Changes

Cause

Bug 15864268 - OS WATCHER FOR SUPERCLUSTER DOES NOT CLEANUP RDS OR IB FILES was filed for this issue.

Solution

This will be fixed in Cell OS version 11.2.3.3.0.

Until this fix is available, please manually delete older RDS and IB files to conserve space.
