Solution

For the issue:

Warning: Product identification data missing. System may not function properly. Service must update product identification data. Contact Service immediately.

advise is to perform:

- Power-off, removed all power cords for 30 seconds and then reinserted to fully reset the Service Processor (SP)
  - Performing an AC power cycle on the T3/T4/T5/T7 Servers (Doc ID 1571054.1)

and for the issue:

Unrecognized Chassis: This module is installed in an unknown or unsupported chassis. You must upgrade the firmware to a newer version that supports this chassis.

advise is to perform:

- Download and install the latest system firmware via the ILOM CLI.  This error often disables the ability to upgrade the firmware via the ILOM Web interface.
  - SPARC T3/T4/T5/T7 Series System Firmware and Patch Level Checklist (Doc ID 1400005.1)
and the system firmware installation instructions look at the patch and Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) Documentation

OR When trying to do a FW upgrade in general and:

Unrecognized Chassis: This module is installed in an unknown or unsupported chassis. You must upgrade the firmware to a newer version that supports this chassis.

SP firmware does not match platform!  Reflash required! (need to replace SP and update FW)

and for the issue:

Error reading keyswitch value :

T4-x only:  Advise to update the System Firmware to version 8.9.8

This Alternative Workaround has worked in the Field when a FE replaced a MB and runs into this situation.

EXAMPLE:

-> load -source ftp://root:changeme@320.610.961.258/8_9_5_a-T4-2.pkg
Error reading keyswitch value

1. Put the original MB back in the server
2. downgraded to 8.6.0.b
3. replaced MB
4. upgraded to latest successfully

If you see "Host power must be turned off to execute this command." after MB/SP replacement and the HOST is already powered off, press and hold the power button

on the front of the chassis for approx 5 sec, and verify the PSU DC_OK LED turns off.  Proceed with the FW upgrade.

NOTE:
In case of a hw change (sp and/or mb/mm replacement) has been performed, you will also see the event:

Unrecognized Chassis: This module is installed in an unknown or unsupported chassis. You must upgrade the firmware to a newer version that supports this chassis.

and in that case the advise is as follow:

- Download and install the latest system firmware (or re-install the current installed system fw) via the ILOM CLI.
