COMPLETED

Note: Look at the "receive" data for each of the rails.  Excessive drops and reported errors is a sign of a problem.

Changes

Recent upgrade of library firmware from 4.73 to any higher version of firmware.

Cause

Possible cause involve rail communication stats.

Solution

There is currently no fix for this issue.  HBC card replacement will NOT fix this issue.  Do not change the HBC at this time.

Work Around: None at this time.  A reboot of the library is the only way to recover.

In CLI command line,  use the following command:

- stats network

If you find excessive amounts of overruns, dropped packets or other communication type errors, perform rail and terminator inspections to rule out debris or defective rail terminators as a possible cause to this issue.

Should this issue occur, contact TSC with SR number for further discussion.  Open a collab SR to SL8500 product support specialist.
