SC displaying error messages about Voltage issues on system Battery.

From ALOM:

sc> showlogs
...
SC Alert: VOLTAGE_SENSOR @ MB.BAT.V_BAT has exceeded low warning threshold.
...

 

From Solaris:

You can see the same warning in the messages file reported by ALOM's watchdog:

<timestamp> <hostname> rmclomv: [ID 585172 kern.crit] VOLTAGE_SENSOR @ MB.BAT.V_BAT has exceeded low warning threshold

Also, you can see the low voltage level on 'prtdiag -v' output:

Cause

 The 3V Lithium battery located on the Motherboard of Sun Fire V440 and Netra 440 is failing.

Solution

 The solution for this issue is to replace the System Battery with the Part Number: 150-2850.

 A planned outage is required.
