Symptoms

verify-toplogy on a full X2-2 rack connected to QTR ExaLogic rack via Infiniband fails with the error below.

Cause

Verify-topology cannot be used with a mixed, multirack scenario like the above (interconnected exadata and exalogic racks).

As soon as any sort of Exalogic rack is mixed with any sort of Exadata rack, this renders verify-topology useless as it doesn't understand this setup. the engineering hasn't been done to make that work between different rack types.

Solution

Therefore, you can safely ignore any errors produced by verify-topology.
