Symptoms
SL8500 is operational but Local Op Panel not responding.
Remote SL Console is working fine.
Op Panel shows below error for any of the requests:
"Refresh Data for the Specified Device Failed"
"Connection to server is currently not established"
Changes
None
Cause
Op Panel could be hung or lost communication with HBC.
Solution
- Check whether the problem is limited to Op Panel. Check if the remote SLC is working and SL8500 is functional.
- If problem is limited to OP Panel, then Reboot the Op Panel and check again.
- If this does not fix problem, check the Network Cable is connected correctly at Op Panel end at the Switch at the back of SL8500.
- If problem persists, Op Panel may be faulty.
NOTES :
- For this case, problem was fixed by reboot of Op Panel.
- There is a Switch to power off /on the Op Panel. Instructions are there in Replaceable Parts Catalog
