Symptoms

Failed to run "/usr/bin/ipmitool sunoem cli force "show /SP/alertmgmt/rules/1""
  Sun OEM cli command failed
[root@xbkpdb02 ~]# /usr/bin/ipmitool sunoem cli force "show /SP/alertmgmt/rules/1"
Sun OEM cli command failed

Cause

The issue is because of the bug.
<Bug 13590125> - ILOM COMMANDS FAILED WITH "SUN OEM CLI COMMAND FAILED"

 

Solution

Fix for <Bug 13590125> is included in 11.2.3.2.0

Workaround is to Reset the ilom (ipmitool mc reset cold)
