Created from <SR 3-6116345791> Applies to:Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Pillar Axiom 500 Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsDuring an R5.x to R5.x software update, it's possible for the software update to fail due to a "FAILED_TO_DRAIN_OPERATION_POOL" event. This event can be seen by accessing the System Alerts page and double clicking on "Software Update Failed" alert. CauseWhen the FAILED TO DRAIN OPERATION POOL event occurs, it means that the operation pool is hung up. This can happen if a running process has not completed, for example if there are log bundles queued up for transfer that have not completed. NOTE: There are no options for a user to forceably stop a running process in the GUI.
SolutionTo resolve the issue: NOTE: You do NOT need to re-stage the software package.
