Symptoms

SL500 new intall LCD Touch Screen OP Panel display is abnormal.

Problem noticed when trying to enter password in TSOP.  Refer to the attached picture.

Reboot of SL500 and upgrade to code 1466 did not help.

All other Operations are normal.

Cause

Event logs does not contain any errors realted to Op Panel.

Suspected LCD Panel Calibration problems.
 

Solution

A Hard reset of OP Panel from CLI resolved the issue.
----
SERVICE>> resetoppanel
The Op Panel was reset.  Should take a few minutes to complete.
----

Few other points that may help if above does not resolve issue :

1. For new installs, ensure TSOP is installed correctly.   It's better to remove & re-seat the signal+power cables to TSOP.

2. Ensure TSOP is aligned correctly as per the instruction of below Manual;

After you touch the Touch Pad button, touch the screen with your fingernail just outside of the rectangle in the center.
Slowly drag your fingernail toward the rectangle. When your fingernail gets close to or into the rectangle, the border inverts.
Use the arrow buttons to shift the touch alignment. No visual change occurs when using the arrow buttons
