Symptoms


SL500 Base Module Top Power Supply works unstably.
LED on PS goes off after it works for a while.
PS & Power cord are replaced with same result.

FE observed that the PS can't be seated firmly into the slot.

Event Log contains several entries as below.

2012-02-08T16:44:34.129, 0.0.0.0.0, 000, sensor-manager, , error, 0000, 8003, "SensorPowerFuncs: doPwrSupplyState - Module 1 Power Supply 1 is not operational"

Cause

Broken or damaged PS Connectors on the RLM card.
 

Solution

FE need do a visual inspection of the connetors on RLM to where PS gets seated.

J1 & J2 - Base Module Top PS
J3 & J4 - Base Module Bottom PS

If the connectors are damaged, option is to replace BLANK RLM.

While Replacing the RLM, Special Care must be taken & steps must be followd exactly  as described in below KB.
