FSC5132

Changes

 None

Cause

The buckler has a button that connects with the cartridge leader. These buttons have been coming off on the older design buckler assemblies.

Solution

As the drive goes through the repair process it will get a new design buckler. The old design buckler is black and the new one is white. The older bucklers were supposed to get 150,000 loads before failing but they may not last that long. If you see one or more FSCs that indicate a buckler issue then the button is probably missing. The tape may or may not unload depending on when the button came out.
