Symptoms

Storage Cell iLOM randomly reboots due to the reported error "Out Of Memory".

Changes

 Recently upgraded to the software version 11.2.2.4.2, and Lights Out version shows (iLOM version) 3.0.16.10 r65138

Cause

This is due to abug with iLOM version in 11.2.2.4.2

CR 7121350: "Exadata X2-2, Service Processor restarted due to Out-Of-Memory condition".

The behavior does not in any way adversely affect the performance of the platform.

Solution

Restarting the SP periodically will help workarounding this issue.

On availability of the next firmware image, upgrade at the earliest convenience.
