Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

SLS6659I SIM error on VSM or SVA with FSC7596 error code in sense bytes 22 and 23

Example with SB 22&23 and 30&31 separated out from rest of bytes.
SLS6659I VTSS VTSS01 SIM:0010100000008FE0115000039E002E1041030E1A0000 7596 05104201F100 3BC8

Cause

FSC7596 indicates the box has done a full box warm boot.  The SLS6659I SIM error has a string of 32 sense bytes; sense bytes 22 and 23 contain the FSC7596. Sense bytes 30 and 31 (the last 4 digits) will indicate the FSC code that the box warm booted in response to (unless it's 6FFF).  This can be caused by the local FSE doing a manual warm boot IML, or is an attempt by the box to recover from an error condition.

Solution

Contact Oracle Support and create a support ticket to have the logs reviewed.
If support reviews the files and sees an issue that the local FSE needs to address, they will page the FSE.  Many times, the warm boot will recover the box cleanly and no action needs to be taken by the local team.
