Symptoms

BUI may experience the following exception when you try to edit an ACL enabled share

Exception type: akProgrammerError
Message: unsupported ACL inheritance inherited

Cause

This exception is due to a software bug.

Bug ID is <BUG: 15630613> - ACLs with 'inherited' bits confuse BUI

Solution

This has been resolved in the 2010.Q3 release, please update to this version or newer to resolve this issue.

Until the upgrade has been applied, the workaround is to use the appliance command line interface (CLI).
