Symptoms

Error messages generated when running acsss_config for a non-partitioned library:

(Note: This problem can also happen when running 'config acs new'. )
/export/home/ACSSS/config/in_lib_conf: Error response from library handler, LH_ERR_REQUEST_INVALID

/export/home/ACSSS/config/in_lib_conf: Cannot establish library communications

Lh error: Cm_4400::ProcessAck: ACS 0 configured to ACSLS with partition ID = 0, but the library is NOT partitioned.

Solution

The host interface on the SL3000 library was set to non-partitioned SCSI and should be non-partitioned HLI (host LMU interface).
