Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1018620.1 : Sun Fire [TM] Midrange Server: inaccurate msg from the SC following a reboot
PreviouslyPublishedAs 230316 Applies to:Sun Fire V1280 Server - Version Not Applicable and laterSun Fire 3800 Server - Version Not Applicable and later Sun Fire 4800 Server - Version Not Applicable and later Sun Fire 4810 Server - Version Not Applicable and later Sun Fire 6800 Server - Version Not Applicable and later All Platforms SymptomsAfter a SYSTEM ERROR (Domain Pause) and the AD Event reports a FRU-List-Count greater than 0, rebooting the main System Controller will result in an AD Event message that is not consistent with the actual error
CauseRebooting the SC may cause this inconsistency
Solution
If an AD Event occurs:
[AD] Event: E6900.ASIC.AR.ADR_PERR.10492007 CSN: 045H24D8 DomainID: A ADInfo: 1.SCAPP.18.0 Time: Fri Jul 23 14:10:22 PDT 2004 FRU-List-Count: 2; FRU-PN: 5015629; FRU-SN: 000264; FRU-LOC: /N0/IB6 FRU-PN: 5014953; FRU-SN: 000488; FRU-LOC: RP3 Recommended-Action: Service action required And then the SC is rebooted, the following may appear during the SC reboot process: [AD] Event: E6900 CSN: 045H24D8 DomainID: A ADInfo: 1.SCAPP.18.0 Time: Fri Jul 23 14:29:09 PDT 2004 FRU-List-Count: 0; FRU-PN: ; FRU-SN: ; FRU-LOC: UNRESOLVED Recommended-Action: Service action required
reference the AD Event message that is associated with the SYSTEM ERROR (Domain Pause). In the above example the initial AD Event is valid (E6900.ASIC.AR.ADR_PERR.10492007)
