PreviouslyPublishedAs 210422 Applies to:Sun StorageTek L180 Tape Library - Version All Versions and laterSun StorageTek L700 Tape Library - Version All Versions and later Sun StorageTek L1400 Tape Library - Version Not Applicable and later LTO Tape Drive - Version All Versions and later All Platforms SymptomsSymptoms Changes{CHANGE} Cause{CAUSE} SolutionShould you have difficulty removing a stuck cartridge from the Linear Tape Open (LTO) Seagate Ultrium drive, press the unload switch on the front panel for 15 seconds. This forces a reset of the drive without powering off. The drive may then eject the cartridge. This action will reset memory, as would a power off/on sequence. It may take up to 30 minutes for the tape to rewind, as the drive does not know how much media is on the machine reel and a slow rewind will occur. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
