Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1007263.1 : Sun Enterprise 10000 Server: Dynamic Reconfiguration error: ld.so.1: dr_daemon: fatal: libap.so: open failed: No such file or directory
PreviouslyPublishedAs 209992 Applies to:Sun Enterprise 10000 Server - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]Sun SPARC Sun OS SymptomsWhen attempting a DR (Dynamic Reconfiguration) operation on a domain which does not have AP (Alternate Pathing) installed, then you will get the following errors: Nov 10 15:32:52 p10k-b dr_daemon [15227]: ld.so.1: dr_daemon: fatal: libap.so: open failed: No such file or directory
Nov 10 15:32:52 p10k-b dr_daemon [15227]: dr_daemon operating in NO AP interaction mode ChangesAlthough Alternate Pathing is not supported on any Sparc III platforms, the DR versions are still aware of AP as it is still a supported configuration on the E10000. Because DR looks for libap.so as part of it's normal function, the lack of the file is going to invoke the error message regardless of the platform architecture. The error messages can be ignored unless they are being seen on a E10000 with Alternate Pathing installed. CauseWhat the dr_daemon is attempting to do, is to communicate that it is about to change the configuration to any AP software that may be installed on the system. (Some versions of AP, other than 2.0, can do an automatic switch over). As AP is not installed, the libap.so file does not exist. SolutionThese error messages can safely be ignored.
