Solution

Certain x4100 / x4200 servers have reversed mac address information in factory programmed FRU data. As a result N1 System Manager cannot provision the systems.
This will be automatically resolved by the 1st update of x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware.
Specifically, the following reversal of addresses was made in the ipmi fru records:
mb.net0.fru showing GB_2, GB_3 MAC
mb.net1.fru showing GB_0, GB_1 MAC
Should be:
mb.net0.fru showing GB_0, GB_1 MAC
mb.net1.fru showing GB_2, GB_3 MAC
Please see the following InfoDocs for further information on upgrading BIOS and SP Firmware:

<Document: 1009560.1> Precautions when upgrading Sun Fire[TM] x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware

Relief/Workaround
None. Upgrade to the new version of x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware (the initial Firmware Release is numbered r6464.rom.ima).

A hidden, Sun/Oracle-internal FE account is provided on the service processor:login: sunservice
password: changeme (or whatever root password has been set on the SP)This command can be used to reset the SP, when it becomes unmanageable by other interfaces. The reset command is the embedded-linux 'reboot' command.# rebootTHIS IS NOT LEGAL/SUITABLE TO BE RELEASED TO CUSTOMERS.
