RE: READ & RESPOND: Coin Cell Battery Replacements

What is changing
As part of an ongoing optimization process, an opportunity has been identified

to reduce shipping costs by implementing a field self-procurement process for standard coin cell batteries.

Two specific coin cell battery parts have been identified that will move to this new self procurement process.

This means the field engineer will stock common coin cell batteries instead of having them shipped from Oracle stocking locations.

The part numbers for these batteries are 150-1204 and 150-2850.

What you need to know
The field process related to coin cell batteries went live on October 5th 2012.

You should continue to create action plans and specify parts including batteries as you do today.

As a part of this change Canned Action Plans (CAPs) associated to these parts have been updated to instruct the

field engineer to use the self procurement process.

Questions
Please send any questions you may have to the Systems TSC Change Coordination Team.

Thank you.

Sue.
