  • Total DIMM slots: 24 (12 per node).
  • DIMM sizes: 2GB, and 4GB.
Sun Flash Modules
  • Optional 24GB SATA-based Sun Flash Module provide storage acceleration and a boot source.
Management Environment
Sun Blade Server Module Service Processor (SP)
  • There are two SPs (1/node) on the SP mezzanine card.
  • The SPs run Integrated Lights-Out Manager (ILOM).
  • The SP card provides dedicated Management 10/100 Management Ethernet Port.
  • ILOM on the SP card can be accessed via a Dongle cable assembly's connection to the Universal Connector Port (UCP) on the front of the Sun Blade X6275. The Sun Blade X6275 server module support the (3-port) dongle cable (X-Option part number X4622A).
  • The SP card and ILOM provide the following:
    • A Browser User Interface for control of the system through a graphical interface.
    • Remote media management over ip with full Keyboard, Video, Mouse, and Storage (KVMS) redirection.
    • DMTF style CLI.
    • IPMI 2.0 compliance for management and control.
    • Compatibility for third-party SNMP system managers with requirements for SNMP (v1, v2C, v3).
    • Monitor and report system and component status on all Field Replaceable Units (FRUs).
Standard Integrated Interfaces
Universal Connector Port (UCP) There are two UCPs on the Sun Blade X6275 - 1/node. Available via the Dongle Cable Assembly (Option X4622A/3 cable) connection to the UCP, each UCP provides:
  • 2 USB 2.0 ports.
  • VGA graphics (DB-15 connector)
  • RJ-45 serial port for ILOM console.
Network Management
  • One 10/100Base-T Ethernet connection per node.
Ethernet
  • One 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet port per node.
Midplane I/O per compute node
  • One (x8) PCI Express Gen 2 bus to the PCI ExpressModule (EM) slot.
  • One 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet Interface using Intel 82567 GbE controller, interface to one NEM.
  • 10/100 Ethernet management port to the Chassis Monitoring Module (CMM). (Note:Shared between 2 compute nodes via on-board switch).
PCI Interfaces with the Sun Blade Modular System (chassis)
  • The Sun Blade X6275 has two PCI Express Gen 2 interfaces per server module (one per compute node), via passive mid-plane.
  • I/O is offered in two form factors:
    • PCI Express ExpressModules (EM)
      and
    • PCI Express Network Express Modules (NEM).
  • Each Sun Blade X6275 has four, PCI Express links allocated to:
    • Two EMs
      and
    • Two NEMs.
  • Each NEM has one link assigned to each server module. All server modules share the NEM. For example, Blade 0 has access to NEM 0/slot 0, and NEM 1/slot 0. Blade 1 to NEM 0/slot 1 and NEM 1/slot 1, etc.
  • EM slots are not shared between server modules. Each EM slot is specific to one server module.
